Interview practice
Practice for the interview you actually have
Generic question lists don’t know the job. Ergent writes behavioural, role-specific and culture-fit questions from the job description and your resume, then gives feedback on each answer you practice.

Why it matters
Most interview preparation is a list of generic questions. The interviews themselves are about this job and your experience — and the follow-up questions are where answers fall apart. Practising questions written from both, with feedback on what you left out, is closer to the real thing.
How it works
- 01Paste the job description (and your resume)
- 02Pick a question and answer it — type or speak
- 03Read the feedback, then try again or move on
Feedback you can use
- A score with a breakdown: structure (STAR), clarity, relevance, confidence and more
- What worked, what to improve and the details you left out
- Your answer tightened, with [prompts] where a fact of yours would make it stronger
- An example of an excellent answer — for structure, not facts to borrow
- Follow-up questions an interviewer might ask next
With a free account
- Timed mock interviews with follow-up questions and a report
- Flashcards for the skills the job asks for
- Your practice history and progress

AI estimate
What to improve
- Comparing openers with non-openers mixes in who opens emails — say how you accounted for that, or say it was a first look
- End with the result: what happened after they kept the email
- Drop the filler (“Um”, “so that was good”)
They might follow up with: “How did you know the email caused the purchases?”
Who it’s for
- Anyone with an interview booked
- People who freeze on behavioural questions and want to practise the STAR structure
- Applicants returning to interviews after a while
Why Ergent
- AI that sticks to your factsRewrites and letters work from your resume. Claims it can’t find there are flagged, and missing details become [prompts] for you — not invented numbers.
- Scores that explain themselvesEvery score comes with the reasons, the parsed text and ranked fixes. No percentiles or “better than 87% of applicants”.
- Specific to each jobPaste the job description and the check, the tailoring, the letter and the interview questions are all written for that job.
- Interview practice from your own resumeQuestions come from the job and your experience, and feedback points to what you could have mentioned from your resume.
- One workspace, start to finishResume versions, job descriptions, letters, applications and interview prep stay connected, so you don’t paste the same things five times.
Questions
- Does Ergent guarantee interviews or a job?
- No. Nothing can promise interviews, offers or recruiter replies. Ergent helps you see what an ATS and a recruiter will read, fix what’s in your control, and prepare — the rest depends on your experience, the role and the market.
- Is the feedback accurate?
- It’s an AI assessment, labelled as an estimate. It’s most useful for structure and missing detail; judge the content against what you know about the role.
- Can I answer out loud?
- Yes, in browsers that support speech-to-text. Your words are typed into the answer box for you to check before submitting.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Every tool works on the Free plan. Without an account you get 10 AI requests an hour; a free account gets 60 an hour and saves your work. Pro only raises the limits.
