Privacy Policy

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account information — your email address, and your display name if you provide one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google; we never receive your Google password.
• Content you provide — resume text and files you upload, job descriptions, cover letters, LinkedIn content, interview answers, flashcards, and the job applications you track. This is the material you ask our tools to work on.
• Usage and diagnostic data — product analytics (which features are used, whether they worked, how long they took, and your plan), tied to your account id rather than your name or email, and error reports, used to fix bugs and improve the product. Neither includes your resume, job descriptions, letters or answers. We also count your AI requests per hour, by account or IP address, to apply fair-use limits and prevent abuse.

If you subscribe to Ergent Pro, your payment is handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details; we keep only your subscription's status, Razorpay's subscription and customer IDs, and your renewal date, so we know which plan you're on.

• To provide the tools you request — scoring, generating, and analyzing your content.
• To save your work (resumes, scores, applications, interview history) to your account so it's there when you return.
• To secure the service, enforce fair-use limits, and diagnose and fix problems.
• To respond to feedback or support requests you send us. A request includes the page you were on, your plan, the id of the item on screen and the reference of a recent error, so we can find the problem. It never includes your resume, job descriptions or letters unless you paste them into your message.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume or account data for advertising.

To run Ergent we share the minimum necessary data with a small number of processors who act on our behalf:

• Anthropic — the text of your resume and job descriptions is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate scores, suggestions, and drafts. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, this data is not used to train their models.
• Supabase — authentication and our database, where your account and saved content are stored.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the application.
• PostHog — product analytics. It receives event names and small details such as a file type or a score, never the text you write or upload, and it doesn't record your screen.
• Sentry — error monitoring so we can catch and fix crashes. Our error logs are set up to leave out the text of your resume, job descriptions and letters.
• Razorpay — processes Ergent Pro subscription payments. Your payment details go directly to Razorpay, not to us.

These providers may process data in regions outside your own. We rely on their standard contractual protections for any such transfers.

We keep your content for as long as your account is active so it remains available to you. From Settings → Data & account you can clear your resumes, ATS scores, tracked applications and cover letters at any time (interview prep and your account stay), or delete your account and everything in it. Deleting your account cancels an active Pro subscription first, so you aren't charged again. Feedback you've sent us is kept, unlinked from your account; email us if you want it removed. Neither action can be undone.

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function — chiefly to keep you signed in. We also use analytics that may set cookies to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your saved content is enforced at the database level by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Ergent is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
